The 1st leg semi-finals of the Macedonian Cup are going to be played tomorrow at 16.00 cet. Rabotnicki will host Makedonija GP, while the only remained 2nd League club in this competition, Nov Milenium, will travel away to Milano in Kumanovo.
Both the hosts are favorites to win the first legs. Rabotnicki is leading the table and only a miracle can stop him from not winning the championship, so they are striving to win both titles this season. They have never won the cup in their history and have never played in the final as well. Makedonija Gjorce Petrov's only chance to play in the european cups next season is the home cup. They once lifted the cup in the 2005/06 season. Although Rabotnicki is the favorite, Makedonija GP's players are declaring that they won't give up and will try to bring the second cup title to Gjorce Petrov. Maybe on paper Milano got the easiest opponent, but in the cup everything is possible. Milano as Rabotnicki has never won or played in the cup's final.
Never in the macedonian football history a lower division club have played in a cup final. Nov Milenium has the chance to change that tradition. They are currently on the 9th place in the 2nd League and are still fighting to avoid relegation. But tomorrow they will have the chance of the century as this small club from the village of Susica is one step from the final.
