First wins for Preston and Altona Print

 Macedonian Australian clubs, Preston Lions and Altona Magic have managed to get the first wins after 3 rounds in the Victorian Premier League in Australia, known as the Foxtel Cup.
Preston Lions 1 – 0 Frankston Pines
Preston managed to grab there first win of the season on Saturday with a tough away game against Foxtel Cup newcomers Frankston Pines. Preston captain Tony Sterjovski, scored the only goal in the game. Next week, Preston takes on local bitter rival Heidelberg United at home. 

Altona Magic 3 – 2 Fawkner Blues
Altona also earned themselves there first win of the season. Altona’s veteran forward Michael Curcija scored a hatrick, which enabled his side to claim three vital points.

In others news, Jason Naidovski, Australian player with Macedonian roots,  of the AIS (Australian Institute Sport), is showing to a good prospect. He is currently the leading goal scorer in the Foxtel Cup, and will in all likelihood be signed by a team in the A- League in the near future. He seems to be a good prospect, and is probably likely to play for the Australian Olympic team in the near future.
