PAE Panionios GSS is the new club for the macedonian left wing back Goran Popov. Just a few days after his older brother Robert moved to Auxerre, Goran made a transfer but stayed in the same league, the greek. Previously he was playing for PAE Levadiakos where he spent the first half of the season. Panionios is the 5th club from Greece where Goran will play. In his career he was part of PAE Proodeftiki, PAE AEK Athina, PAE Aigaleo and PAE Levadiakos in the greek league. He will stay in Panionis untill the end of the season and if the both sides are satisfied than he will extend the contract and stay a bit longer. Goran Popov, unlike his brother Robert, is regular in the macedonian national team under Srečko Katanec. He is in the squad for the friendly match against Serbia on the 6th of February.
