Squad changes for the Estonia match Print
The News - Macedonian National Teams

baldovaliev macedoniaSrecko Katanec, the coach of the national team of Macedonia was forced to make changes in the squad before the qualifying match against Estonia after the suspensions of Goran Pandev and Igor Mitreski because of the yellow cards they received on the match against Russia.
As MacedonianFootball.com and all other Macedonian sport medias reported before, the 18 men squad proved to be a big mistake. Srecko Katanec called up only 18 players in front of the two qualifying matches against Russia and Estonia played in four days. Only on couple of days before the away match against Russia, the striker Stevica Ristic got injured, so Katanec additionally called Goce Toleski from the Czech club Most who joined had to join the team later than the other and missed the bigger part of the preparations.
But the problems are now even bigger because on the match against Russia, Goran Pandev and Igor Mitreski got yellow cards and they will have to miss the match against Estonia because of the yellow card from the previous matches in EURO 2008 qualifying group E. So now on only two days before the match Katanec was forced to call new players. Zoran Baldovaliev the striker of the Bulgarian club Lokomotiv from Sofia and the midfielder Vulnet Emini from Macedonian club Renova will be the players who will substitute Pandev and Mitreski. Baldovaliev was in Katanec' squad for the friendly against Nigeria and Emini played on the friendlies in 2006 against Ecuador and Turkey.
