 The Nigerian coach Berti Vogts has named the list players for the friendly against Macedonia that will be played on August 22nd in Skopje. Martins, Utaka, Makinwa, Mikel, Yobo... among the 21 players, all playing in foreign leagues. Ikechukwu Uche from Getafe is the only new name in the Nigerian squad.
 
Nigerian squad:

Goalkeepers: Vincent Enyeama (Hapoel Tel Aviv), Austin Ejide (Bastia), Dele Aiyenugba (Bnei Yehuda).

Defenders: Chidi Odiah (CSKA Moscow), Joseph Yobo (Everton), Taye Taiwo (Marseille), Obinna Nwaneri (FC Sion), Danny Shittu (Watford), Mutiu Adegoke (Asec Mimosa), Rabiu Afolabi (Sochaux).

Midfielders: John Obi Mikel (Chelsea), Seyi Olofinjana (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Paul Obiefule (Lyn Oslo), Onyekachi Okonkwo (FC Zurich).

Forwards: Nwankwo Kanu (Portsmouth), Obafemi Martins (Newcastle), Yakubu Ayegbeni (Middlesbrough), Osaze Odemwingie (Lokomotiv Moscow), John Utaka (Portsmouth), Ayodele Makinwa (Lazio), Ikechukwu Uche (Getafe).
