2.MFL promotion play-offs cancelled due to COVID-19

The promotion matches that were scheduled to be played for filling the remaining last place in both second league groups got cancelled after several players came out positive in the COVID-19 tests.

Besa (3.MFL West), Fortuna (3.MFL North) and Veleshta (3.MFL Southwest) were supposed to play a round-robin play-off with the best team winning promotion in the 2.MFL West. However, the obligatory tests for COVID-19 revealed that 6 players and a staff member at Besa are infected plus 5 players at Fortuna. Tests at Veleshta weren’t made as that team was drawn to be idle in the first round.

For the 2.MFL Esat place two teams were in game. Rosoman 83 (3.MFL Center) and Sloga 1934 (3.MFL Southeast) were supposed to play one single-legged match at neutral field to determine the winner. The tie got cancelled after one played of Rosoman 83 came out positive.

According to the rules recently adopted by FFM, in such scenario the two promoted teams will be decided with a draw. So far the date for the draw is yet to be announced.
