2.MFL East & West overview of opening round (Video)

The new season in the two second league groups started today. Promotion candidates Bregalnica and Gostivar started with wins with the biggest surprise going to debutantes Partizan who defeated Sasa on the road.

Bregalnica made a furious start of the season. They visited newly promoted Vardar in Negotino and after a goalless first half scored four goals to grab the points.

The derby of this round was played in Kavadarci but Tikvesh and Kozhuf failed to score any goals and shared the points.

Highlights of Tikvesh – Kozhuf:

Promoted Kit-Go brought the football back in the town of Pehchevo where today the home fans left the stadium with a big smile on their faces. The home side celebrated a lone win against Plachkovica.

The debutant in this competition, Partizan from the village of Obrshani had dream start after celebrating a come from behind win away to Sasa. After being down 2:1 on half time, Partizan took the points with an injury time goal by substitute player Hristijan Mitreski.

The other debutant Detonit did not have the same fate. They lost at home by Borec thanks to unlucky own goal.

Gostivar confirmed its promotion ambitions by starting with a road win in Debar against newly promoted Korabi.

But the opening round derby took place in the Avtokomanda neighborhood where last season’s top flight participants Skopje and Pelister faced each other. It ended in a goalless draw.

Second league debutantes Gench Kalemler and Goblen started with identical home 1:1 draws. The first against Teteks, the later against Struga. They both lead on half-time, but failed to keep the advantage.

A day later the all others, Labunishta hosted Vlazrimi 77. The match was decided by a lone goals scored by the home team just three minutes after the half-time break.
